Justin Hevness - Managing Director
A brief run down of you relevant history of employment and experience
I started at Firth and Scott in 1986 as and apprentice (actually on a government sponsored Youth Training Scheme). Having started at the bottom of the ladder over the years I have worked my way through every position in the company, including supervising roles, management roles (at different offices) and then to the board of directors. Currently I am Managing Director responsible for the running of the Insurance Broking Company. My accomplishments have always been recognised and I enjoy working with my wonderful colleagues and the different challenges the position brings.
Your hobbies, pastimes, interests, leisure activities etc.
I play regular badminton in a local club. Having spent many years playing Tuba (Eb and BBb) at a high standard in one of the countries top brass bands, I occasionally like to play my Tuba. My young family keep me busy and active. I enjoy cycling and annually participate in the Great Nottingham Bike Ride, (58 miles) for charity. Other pastimes include a keen interest in all types of music with a very eclectic music collection of over 15,000 tracks.
If you could have lunch with anyone, who would you like to have lunch with?
I would love to have lunch with Richard Branson, who I have a great admiration for and feel in a brief lunch meeting he would fill me with inspiration to become a better business person and we could also compare beards!
